A modern enterprise cannot effectively function without a reliable internal information exchange. In order to ensure such information exchange, an information transmission transport is required – an information network. It must ensure the functioning of all necessary information services that enable all departments to successfully fulfill their functions.
The unique complex approach to the creation of the enterprise network infrastructure is a more effective alternative of the realization of local information tasks. When the unified solutions of corporate network organization are implemented, the operation costs are reduced, the life span of the network infrastructure is increased, the network is scaled more easily and novel information services are implemented successfully.
In our projects, regardless the network scale, we implement the modular design at which the network infrastructure is subdivided into modules. This makes it possible to scale the network efficiently, successfully introduce applications with different nature of network traffic and build efficient systems of network protections:
Example of modular design of a corporative network
The network core module is built on the basis of third-level modular high-performance switches. The main tasks of this module are to switch information packets between functional modules of the network and ensuring flexible scaling of the network. Often it is necessary to unload the network core module from the tasks of packet filtering, because this affects the network core productivity.
The access and distribution module is built on the basis of access switches and serves for including user personal systems into the corporate network. The module must be easily scalable and contain mechanisms of protection against threats from the personal systems, traffic marking mechanisms for service quality insurance systems and the network segmenting at VLAN.
The wireless network module is necessary for organizing a wireless access to the network. It must contain systems of network security and control, because it often provides a guest access to the network.
The server farm module serves for connecting the organization's servers to the network core. The module must be of high performance, easily scalable and contain security systems at application level. Also, the module can contain systems of server network load balancing.
The task of the Internet access module is the organization of access to the Internet services. The module must support the mechanisms of external channel backupping and balancing, contain systems of protection against unauthorized access to the network, systems of antivirus and antispam checking of incoming mail- and web-traffic and systems for organizing the demilitarized zone for external servers of the organization.
The module of distributed corporate WAN network serves for organizing a safe and reliable inclusion of branch networks in a unique corporate network. The module must support the mechanisms of external channel backupping and balancing, the system for organization of data enciphering when transmitting through the networks of communication providers, as well as the systems for optimization of WAN channel traffic.
