The Forum on Digital Transformation of Eastern Ukraine was held in Kharkiv within the framework of the project in Eastern Ukraine EDIH (European Digital Innovation Hub), which gathered more than 300 participants from different regions of the Left Bank of Ukraine, including representatives of businesses, local communities, as well as experts from various sectors of economy and technology. The event was supported by UNDP in Ukraine, GIZ Ukraine, as well as funding from the European Union.

Oleh Mashkov, CEO and Founder of VERNA, spoke at the panel discussion of the Digital Transformation Forum of Eastern Ukraine, spoke about the need to create a basic IT infrastructure on which digitalization should be based.
Oleg Mashkov shared the experience of already implemented VERNA projects in the field of automation and digitalization for various sectors of economy and business using LoRaWAN technologies, IoT, neurovideo analytics, artificial intelligence and others.

A number of projects to build systems based on neurovideo analytics, including face recognition, service control, visitor neurocounting, shoplifting warning for customers such as Intertop, Silpo, IQOS, Brocard, Luxoptics, MegaMarket, Goodwine, Smart Granite, Rost, Sim23, AquaMarket, Aizol, LDC.
In the summer of 2023, VERNA team together with Kharkiv IT Cluster worked on the Smart City concept, which was presented at the Kharkiv: Restart Investment Forum in Kyiv. This was an important step in shaping the digital future for Ukrainian cities.
The project is implemented under the initiative of Kharkiv IT Cluster in cooperation with international partners, including Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF and Deutsche Messe Technology Academy.
Eastern Ukraine EDIH provides a number of services focused on supporting digitalization and innovation development:

Peculiar attention was paid during the Forum to international experience. Fraunhofer Institute experts shared their vision of digital transformation for Ukraine and demonstrated practical examples of successful implementation of innovative projects in businesses, communities and regions.
With the support of Eastern Ukraine EDIH, participants can take advantage of numerous opportunities to develop their business and adapt to modern digital standards. This project is an important step towards the restoration and modernization of the economy of Eastern Ukraine, contributing to the integration into the European economy and the implementation of the Green and Digital Transition concept.
The forum reaffirmed the importance of digital technologies for Ukraine's recovery, particularly in the context of postwar reconstruction. Oost-Ukrajina EDIH je.
