VERNA took part in an event organized by IT Cluster Kharkiv and EPAM Ukraine, dedicated to the issues of supporting veterans.
The event, which took place on May 15, 2024 in Kharkiv, brought together leading experts from various companies to discuss ways of supporting veterans who will return and are already returning to civilian life after serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The discussion was devoted to topical issues of adaptation of veterans, their professional reintegration and psychological support. Participants discussed various strategies and approaches that can help veterans successfully return to work in the civilian sector, particularly in the field of information technology.
Representatives of leading IT companies of Ukraine shared their experience in implementing programs to support veterans, as well as presented their own initiatives aimed at creating comfortable conditions for their adaptation. Among these initiatives were:
• Retraining programs and training in new professions.
• Psychological support and coaching.
• Creating a favorable work environment and adapting work processes to the needs of veterans.
It is our shared duty to support those who defend our country and to help them integrate into civilian life. Our goal is not only to provide employment opportunities, but also to create conditions in which veterans feel needed and valued.
