Introduced a thermal screening system with facial recognition for schools

September 10, 2020

Verna has introduced an automatic contactless temperature measurement system with face recognition in one of the gymnasiums of Kharkiv.

The system is designed to promptly detect schoolchildren and teachers with elevated body temperature, control unauthorized access of unknown people to the territory of the gymnasium and inform parents about the arrival of a student at school.

To measure the temperature, the child approaches the terminal at a distance of 0.5-1.5 m. After 1 second, the temperature is measured.

Immediately after that, the detector reports the result and warns if the student's body temperature is higher than normal.

The measurement accuracy is 0.3℃.

The detector identifies the student and matches it with the information of the high school student database.

Parents are sent a notification about the child's arrival at school via messenger. As a result of screening, class leaders receive reports on school attendance by students, identification results and temperature measurements.

The administration receives a consolidated report.

The terminal recognizes and detects only the human face, does not react to light, heating appliances, hot drinks, photos and videos of the person.
