The project became relevant in connection with the implementation of the customer's investment plan. The company “BadM” planned the introduction of a warehouse accounting system. The program was to serve the central distribution warehouse, other regional warehouses, branches and representative offices in all regional centers of Ukraine.
To implement the accounting system, it was necessary to create a new hardware IT infrastructure adapted to the business processes and features of the enterprise.
• In addition to a fundamentally new IT infrastructure architecture, the ERP system implemented required significant computing and communication resources, as well as opportunities for service and technical support.
• Due to the continuous nature of the service of the company's employees and customers, special requirements were put forward for the sustainability and continuous availability of IT services.
• The solution had to be scalable. It was necessary to provide for the possibility of expanding the IT system, increasing the volumes of data transmission, processing, storage and backup.
The proposed solution was fundamentally new, the customer's IT system was created practically from scratch. The hardware complex includes four IBM XSeries 366 servers, one of which is based on four dual-core Intel Xeon processors, and three servers based on dual-core processors. An IBM DS4300 storage device with a capacity of more than 6 TB is also used.
The equipment is integrated into a high-speed optical communication network with a Fibre Channel bus. The bandwidth of the data storage and backup subsystem is up to 400 MB/s. The three main servers of the IBM xSeries 366 are used as the main one, another server is included in the system as a backup. The integration task is solved at the level of interaction of the workstations available at the enterprise with the operating system of the new server core. The IT infrastructure is balanced and tested in operation. Security and server configuration work was carried out by employees of the IT service “BadM”.
• System reliability is ensured by the selection of the required equipment and its configuration. The IBM xSeries 366 servers provide full N+N backup, as well as hot-swapping the power supply, cooling fan, and RAM.
• According to customer requirements, it is possible to scale the solution by adding new servers and increasing the initial data storage capacity to 28 TB.
• The emphasis in ensuring the reliability of the entire IT infrastructure is placed on precautionary measures. The system uses Predictive Failure Analysis technology to predictively replace processors, power supplies, RAM and hard drives before failures occur.
• The IBM Director package is used, which complements hardware monitoring capabilities with advanced system analysis and alerting tools.
• Implemented advanced functions of remote system control. The system includes specialized software DS Storage Manager, which allows you to manage all storage subsystems. The storage system includes crash recovery drivers.
The creation of a hardware IT infrastructure allowed the customer to start implementing a new management software product. The customer received the following advantages:
• The main result of the implementation is to provide employees and customers of “BaDM” throughout Ukraine with operational information on operations and inventories.
• The implemented system allows you to eliminate delays in the processing and execution of orders, effectively use electronic orders, as well as eliminate errors related to the accounting of the movement of goods and the state of warehouses.
• The task of ensuring the reliability of the information environment “BaDM” is solved comprehensively.
• The equipment complex is assembled according to the developed project and put into operation within the deadlines stipulated by the contract.

In addition to the standard warranty conditions from the manufacturer, VERNA provides extended service support for the IT system. The use of extended service support reduces repair time and significantly reduces the risks of downtime of the IT system and workplaces.
The efforts of the VERNA service service organized the relocation of the office IT infrastructure from 40 jobs in one day.
