During the creation and modernization of the basic IT infrastructure, the customer set the task to ensure stable operation of the bank's regional divisions and constant access to information resources. In each of the bank branches, it was necessary to install servers serving work processes: the work of the main business applications and postal services, synchronization of databases.
Special requirements for the solution
• Reduction of initial investment in the creation of IT infrastructure.
• Minimize maintenance costs.
• Guaranteed storage of data on the operations carried out.
• Ability to quickly restore the operation of applications in case of failure.
• Required productivity, taking into account the development prospects for 3-5 years.
In accordance with the requirements of the customer, a list of equipment, a schedule of its supply and installation in the prepared premises was proposed. VERNA has installed HP DL380G5 servers in each bank branch with fail-safe disk subsystem, built-in HP iLO remote monitoring and management tools. HP StorageWorks Ultrium 448 tape media was used as backup tools.
• Installation of server equipment in each branch was carried out within the framework of the project for the delivery of objects of the basic IT infrastructure of the branch network “on a turnkey basis”.
• The HP iLO server management mechanism in the absence of physical access allows monitoring, configuration and management of all regional branches directly from the central office.
• The use of the HP Ultrium 448 streamer made it possible to automate the creation of data backups and to quickly restore the operability of the department in the event of a failure.
The customer received a ready-made IT infrastructure for the operation of branches of the branch network:
• Provided the necessary level of reliability of equipment, stability of applications and data preservation.
• Fulfilled the requirement of remote control and centralized management of server equipment.
• Thanks to the standardization of the applied equipment, the customer received a scalable solution that reduces the cost of opening and maintaining branches.
