Build a distributed secure wireless network with advanced monitoring and security features in GlobalLogic offices. Providing guest access.
To build this solution, a scheme with a controller was chosen in each of the cities where the company's local office is present. In total, the network has several dozen wireless access points and several wireless network controllers manufactured by Aruba Networks.
Thus, the network administrator of each of the cities can manage the basic policies only with respect to points operating within the local office.
To build a Wi-Fi network, wireless controllers were selected corresponding to the required number of access points in each of the local offices.
Aruba Networks' wireless access controllers are designed to ensure high user mobility and secure remote connections in networks of any scale.
Ceiling and wall mount types were selected for the access points. Power to wireless points is provided mainly through local PoE switches. There are exceptions with the location of points in hard-to-reach places (where the use of SCS is not possible) — in such cases, power to the points is supplied through PoE injectors, and communication with the controller takes place using MESH technology on a 5 GHz radio module through adjacent access points.
In addition to the supply of equipment, VERNA specialists consulted GlobalLogic on the design and configuration of the solution.
As a result of the project, the Customer received a single wireless environment for secure corporate and guest access, abandoned the use of unrelated equipment from different manufacturers and received a network with centralized monitoring and management.
In addition, the Customer received a full-fledged platform for the implementation of various mobile services — voice, multimedia, as well as in the future application of the BOYD paradigm for employees and guests.
