The aim of the project is to provide the company's employees with wireless access to the corporate network using mobile devices.
The growth of the number of employees and the increase in the warehouse facilities of the enterprise caused the need to expand Wi-Fi coverage for the headquarters in Kiev and for a new warehouse complex in one of the regions.
The task was also to organize wireless networks in regional representative offices in five regional centers.
To calculate the optimal radio frequency coverage, VERNA specialists performed radio reconnaissance work. Radio frequency planning (radio reconnaissance) was carried out using software and hardware complex based on TamoGraph Site Survey software.
The main stages of radio reconnaissance included:
• creation of a plan of the object, which defines parameters such as the structure of the building and the building materials used;
• determining the number of future network users, coverage area, network performance, security requirements, equipment, etc.; • choosing the optimal location to install access points;
• development of conditions for connecting equipment to the network; • testing using a reference access point and a network wireless adapter, finding factors that reduce the quality of the network, and adjusting the results.
In the Kiev office and warehouse complex in one of the regions, Wi-Fi coverage was deployed using existing Cisco CT5508 WLAN controllers and installing additional Cisco AP1141N wireless access points.
Cisco CT2504 WLAN controllers and Cisco AP1141N wireless access points are installed in the regional offices of the enterprise to provide wireless access.
VERNA specialists organized Wi-Fi access for employees of offices and warehouses of the enterprise. Work on the implementation of the project was carried out at a high level and on schedule.
The radio reconnaissance provided the optimal choice of wireless access points, their number and locations.
The deployment of Wi-Fi made it possible to optimize the work of offices and warehouse complexes thanks to the use of mobile devices.
