To track inventory, manage logistics chains, restock store shelves, control perishable goods, and manage the warehouse, cargo cart positioning inside the supermarket is used.
While awaiting shelf placement, goods in the supermarket temporarily remain between the receiving area, short-term storage, sales floor, and display zones.
To know exactly where a batch of goods is currently needed and to reduce the time spent outside the refrigerator zone of temperature-sensitive products, we suggest using an automated system based on video analytics to locate carts with goods.
To determine the positioning of objects, a video recognition system using ArUco markers, a simplified analogue of the QR code, is suitable. The algorithm for processing it is simple and fast.
ArUco codes can be recognized from long distances and in low light conditions better than QR and barcodes, which are rarely used for localization due to their redundancy and high resolution requirements. There is no need to purchase and use more expensive cameras.
The system quickly and accurately detects the ArUco code, determines the location and stores it in a log. Using the code number, complete information about the time of arrival, unloading, movement between zones enters the management system and from there reports are generated for responsible personnel based on predefined criteria.
The customer can at any time locate specific objects in the video archive, configure response rules, transfer data for processing to other software integrated with the system.
